We're Looking for You
As an Electrical Technician, you will support the plant's electrical maintenance activities through effective troubleshooting, inspections, preventive routines, and repair work. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems according to established procedures.
- Troubleshooting and repairing faults in generators, motors, transformers, breakers, protection relay systems, switchgear, and other CCP electrical components.
- Conducting electrical testing, calibration, condition monitoring, and equipment health checks.
- Installing, removing, inspecting, and maintaining electrical components such as cables, meters, insulators, bus bars, and batteries.
- Supporting major maintenance and overhaul activities under the direction of the Electrical Leader.
- Executing emergency maintenance and supporting restoration activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, diagrams, and manuals to support troubleshooting and repair tasks.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance logs, records, and equipment history in the CMMS system.
- Ensuring all maintenance work is performed safely and in compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Supporting cross-functional maintenance activities, including collaboration with Mechanical and I&C teams.
- Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization in the electrical workshop and work areas.
- Reporting abnormalities, completed work, and potential equipment issues promptly to the Electrical Leader.
What You'll Bring
- At least a Diploma (D3) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a power plant or similar industrial operations that manage their own power plant facilities.
- Understanding of basic operations of a Combined Cycle Plant (CCP) and knowledge of good electrical maintenance practices.
- Strong ability to read electrical drawings, measure and test equipment, and troubleshoot/repair a wide range of electrical faults.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on GIS systems, power transformers, HV/LV switchgear, electrical motors, DC chargers, AC UPS systems, protection relays, emergency diesel generators, VFDs, earthing & lightning systems, and cable termination.
- Proficiency in using CMMS software and MS Office to record and report maintenance activities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems related to power plant maintenance and commissioning activities.
- Willingness to support On-Call Rotation or Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties outside normal working hours.
- Good communication skills in English (oral and written).
- Mature, committed, self-motivated, open-minded, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
