Responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of electrical systems and equipment across the mill/plant.
Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for electrical equipment, systems, and power distribution.
Develop and review electrical maintenance strategies, procedures, and improvement programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Analyze electrical equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support electrical maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
Monitor the condition and performance of critical electrical equipment such as motors, transformers, switchgear, MCC, VFD, generators, UPS, and electrical distribution systems.
Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams and support the execution of electrical improvement and modification projects.
Review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents to ensure compliance with applicable standards and engineering requirements.
Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, equipment optimization, and continuous improvement of electrical systems.
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other relevant departments to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.
Ensure all electrical activities comply with company safety procedures, electrical standards, and applicable regulations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical maintenance/engineering, preferably in pulp & paper, power plant, petrochemical, mining, or other heavy industries.
Strong experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement.
Good knowledge of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, motors, transformers, switchgear, MCC, VFD, protection systems, and power distribution.
Experience in electrical equipment failure analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Familiar with electrical engineering standards and safety requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Able to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
