We Are Looking For

As the Electrical Engineer – Operations, you will support the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems within the data center. You will handle day-to-day operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, and assist in troubleshooting to ensure continuous power availability.

This role works under the guidance of the SME Electrical Engineer and supports the Operations team by following approved procedures and ensuring compliance with company standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and monitor HT and LT electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable data center operations in accordance with approved SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and company standards, including applicable electrical codes and HSE requirements.
• Support the development, review, and implementation of operational procedures for critical electrical systems.
• Assist in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to improve system reliability and uptime.
• Support change management activities, ensuring electrical changes are properly reviewed, executed, and closed.
• Participate in capacity monitoring, energy efficiency initiatives, and system performance trending using BMS/DCIM tools.
• Support major maintenance activities such as shutdowns, electrical studies, UPS maintenance, and equipment overhauls.
• Coordinate with operations teams, vendors, and contractors to resolve electrical issues and support maintenance works.
• Contribute to training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the operations team.
• Support cost optimization initiatives and participate in PTW, MOS, and Risk Assessment reviews.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or operations, preferably within data centers or other critical facilities.
• Familiar with HT and LT electrical systems, operational procedures, and safety practices.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, BMS, and CMMS/DCIM systems.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
