About the Role
The Electrical Design Engineer supports SCG Indonesia's projects by designing, reviewing, and improving electrical systems for industrial operations. This role focuses on ensuring that designs are safe, reliable, and cost-effective while meeting both project specifications and SCG's engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations for plant equipment and systems.
- Review technical requirements and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and process engineers on cross-functional projects.
- Support procurement by preparing technical documents and evaluating vendor proposals.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct feasibility studies and propose design improvements for energy efficiency and reliability.
- Document all design work and maintain an organized design database for future reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 0–5 years of experience in electrical design for industrial plants, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, design standards, and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, E-Plan).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
