JSK Shipping manages a diverse fleet ranging from Special Coal Carriers (10,000 DWT) to Panamax vessels (65,000 DWT). It also operates self-propelled floating cranes equipped with high-capacity clam shell grabs and conveyor systems, supporting efficient coal loading and unloading. Role Description The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Gunung Sitoli Idanoi. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical and instrumentation systems on vessels and related coal handling equipment. Daily tasks include inspecting and calibrating instrumentation, overseeing process control systems, diagnosing electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The engineer collaborates with marine and mechanical teams to plan preventive maintenance, support equipment upgrades, and minimize downtime. The role also involves documenting maintenance activities, providing technical reports, and recommending improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity for industrial or marine environments.
- Proficiency in Instrumentation and Process Control, including calibration, monitoring, and system optimization.
- Demonstrated Troubleshooting skills for electrical and instrumentation faults and system failures.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with marine, port, or heavy industrial equipment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations for electrical and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation schematics.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional crews.
- Willingness to work on-site in Gunung Sitoli Idanoi and adapt to operational schedules.
