Role Description The Early Childhood Music Teacher is a part-time, on-site role based in East Jakarta. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging music lessons for young children, using age-appropriate methods and materials, including the Kinderbeat program and other foundational music activities. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, leading interactive group and individual sessions, introducing basic musical concepts and instruments, and fostering a fun, safe, and encouraging classroom atmosphere. The teacher will communicate with parents or caregivers about student progress, collaborate with colleagues on curriculum improvements, and support school events or performances involving early childhood learners.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in music education for young children, including knowledge of early childhood teaching methods and age-appropriate music activities.
• Ability to play and teach basic concepts on at least one instrument commonly used with children (e.g., piano, guitar, or percussion) and to lead singing and simple musical games.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to engage children, build rapport with families, and collaborate with fellow teachers.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young learners.
• Prior experience teaching early childhood music or working with children in educational settings is highly preferred.
