Role Description:
The Duty Manager is a contract, on-site role based at The Sakala Resort Bali in Kecamatan Kuta Selatan. This position oversees daily resort operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth coordination between front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other guest-facing teams. The Duty Manager responds to guest inquiries and complaints, supports problem resolution, and maintains service standards consistent with a 5-star property. Additional responsibilities include monitoring staff performance, managing occupancy and room allocations, coordinating with the Sakala Beach Club as needed, and ensuring compliance with resort policies and safety procedures. The role requires active presence throughout the property, providing leadership, guidance, and support to team members to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in hotel or resort operations management, preferably in a 4- or 5-star property.
- Strong leadership, team coordination, and staff supervision skills, with the ability to guide diverse teams on shift.
- Excellent guest service, conflict resolution, and communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Solid understanding of front office procedures, housekeeping processes, and food and beverage service standards.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure, handle emergencies calmly, and uphold safety and security protocols.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on operational efficiency.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred; prior supervisory experience is highly beneficial.
