Role Description The Duty Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Hotel Tentrem Jakarta in Jakarta, Indonesia. This position oversees daily hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth coordination between front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other departments. The Duty Manager responds to guest inquiries and complaints, manages service recovery, and maintains high levels of guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising staff on duty, monitoring lobby and public areas, handling room allocation and special requests, and ensuring hotel policies and safety procedures are followed. The role also involves preparing shift reports, supporting revenue and occupancy goals, and acting as the main point of contact for any operational issues that arise.
Qualifications

  • Strong hotel operations and front office management skills, including supervision, shift coordination, and guest service handling.
  • Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to manage conflicts, resolve issues, and make sound decisions under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to oversee multiple tasks, maintain records, and ensure compliance with hotel standards.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS), reservation processes, and basic reporting tools.
  • Experience in hospitality, preferably in a supervisory or duty manager role within a hotel or similar environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business, or a related field is preferred.
