Role Description The Duty Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based at The Stones Hotel Legian-Bali in Bali, Indonesia. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel facilities and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The Duty Engineer performs routine inspections, responds to guest and staff maintenance requests in a timely manner, and ensures that all engineering work complies with safety, health, and environmental standards. The role coordinates with other departments to minimize operational disruptions, supports energy-saving initiatives, and maintains accurate maintenance records and logs. The Duty Engineer also assists in preventive maintenance planning, supervises contractors when required, and helps ensure that all technical areas of the hotel remain in optimal condition.

Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of hotel engineering operations, including basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and using relevant tools and equipment safely.
- Understanding of workplace safety, health, and environmental standards, with the ability to apply safe working practices at all times.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with other departments and interact professionally with guests.
- Previous experience in a hotel or resort engineering role is preferred; experience in a similar duty or shift engineer position is an advantage.
- Relevant technical education or certification in engineering, maintenance, or a related field is beneficial.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
