Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Civil Engineering.
- 7+ years of hands-on drafting experience. Experience in retail, hotels, malls, building management, or architectural consultancy is preferred
- Have strong managerial instincts, guide, mentor, and empower drafters to improve their technical accuracy and team members grow.
- Highly skilled in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and standard CAD/architectural toolkits.
- Strong technical capability to translate 3D designer models into clear, precise 2D working drawings.
- Strong understanding of architectural, Interior, MEP and engineering principles.
Job Role:
- Mentorship: Support, guide, and help team members elevate their drafting standards and career growth.
- Dynamic Workload Balancing: Monitor team capacity and adjust assignments dynamically. Also oversee the project tracking system to map designers with assigned drafters.
- Timeline Optimization: Become air traffic controller with project loads—shifting projects between team members.
- Design Verification: Review 3D concepts from designers and check working drawings before final output.
- 2D Working Drawings: Produce precise, buildable 2D architectural, structural, and interior working drawings (floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and schedule sheets) from designer 3D models using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Technical Audits & Sign-offs: Perform mandatory quality-control checks on all 2D construction drawings and MEP layouts before final release to site.
- Complex Detailing & Setup: Step in to directly draw or solve complex structural and MEP details when standard templates are insufficient.
