We are looking for a knowledgeable, responsible, and detail-oriented Poultry Veterinarian to support the health, welfare, and productivity of our poultry operations.
Job Description
As a Poultry Veterinarian, you will oversee poultry health management and provide veterinary support to ensure the optimal health and performance of chickens.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor poultry health management programs.
- Monitor the health condition of chickens or poultry through routine observation and evaluation.
- Monitor biosecurity practices and the cleanliness of the farm environment.
- Support vaccination programs and disease prevention and control measures.
- Participate in nutrition and production management in coordination with the Head of House and Nutritionist.
- Provide education and training on poultry health management, disease prevention and control, and stress management in chickens.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to poultry health and veterinary activities.
- Carry out other duties related to poultry health management as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine with completion of a Veterinary Professional Education Program is preferred.
- Registered veterinarian with a valid veterinary practice license is preferred.
- Experience in layer poultry farming or other poultry operations is preferred.
- Good knowledge and practical skills in poultry health management, vaccination, and disease prevention and control.
- Able to monitor and evaluate the health condition of chickens or poultry.
- Understanding of poultry biosecurity, farm hygiene, nutrition, and production management is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, detail-oriented, responsible, adaptable, and disciplined.
- Willing to work on-site and visit poultry farm facilities as required.
