What will you do as a DAG for Water & Maritime Indonesia
As the DAG for Water & Maritime in Indonesia you are a member of the Asia Pacific Business Unit (BU) Management Team and jointly responsible for the performance of the whole BU. For your specific Advisory Group (AG), you are overall responsible for market, products and services, financial results and quality, client satisfaction and people. You may also get involved in projects as Project Director, Project Manager or Technical Expert.
In your role you will lead the execution of the 2030 strategy plan of the AG in combination with the 2030 strategy of the BU. This strategy is currently in development and aims at continuing the strengths of Haskoning in Indonesia in the Maritime, Climate Resilience and Water Technology sector.
As the RD you will act as the primary contact in the country and the face of the local operations to external parties and employees while operating as the legal representative for Indonesia. The RD chairs the Local Management Team (LMT), Entity Statutory Board (ESB) meetings and reports to the Executive Council Country Sponsor or Executive Board.

This role is based in
Jakarta, Indonesia, a strategic hub within Southeast Asia. From Jakarta, Haskoning works closely with government institutions, port authorities, and privatesector clients to address Indonesia's critical water and maritime challenges, including coastal resilience, flood risk management, climate adaptation, and port development.
You will serve as
Director Advisory Group Water & Maritime Indonesia and
Resident Director of PT Haskoning Indonesia, with full accountability for strategic leadership, business performance, market development, and governance in Indonesia. The Advisory Group is part of the
Business Unit Asia Pacific, requiring close collaboration with regional and global leadership while maintaining a strong local market focus.
In this executive role, you will shape Haskoning's longterm position in Indonesia's water and maritime sector and strengthen its contribution to resilient, sustainable infrastructure across the region.
What you bring
You have experience in translating the corporate and business unit (BU) strategy into a strategic direction for the AG aligning to market trends and business developments. You are an inspiring and ambitious person that can lead the team through change processes.
Aside from this, you have:
- Master's degree in a maritime, water-related study and/or business administration
- 10 or more years experience in the maritime or water sector
- 5 years experience in a similar role
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Frequent travel within or outside Indonesia if necessary
