Director of Vehicle Management

Job Description

• Lead the end-to-end vehicle management strategy, covering vehicle procurement, receiving, storage, registration, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and retrieval.
• Develop and implement vehicle management policies, SOPs, and operational standards to ensure fleet efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspections, and overall vehicle condition to ensure fleet readiness.
• Manage vehicle insurance, claims, documentation, and coordination with insurance providers.
• Oversee vehicle management across warehouses, stockyards, depots, and operational locations.
• Ensure smooth and timely vehicle registration, documentation, and deployment processes.
• Monitor fleet performance, utilization, availability, and operational costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and develop the Vehicle Management team while working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automotive, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in vehicle/fleet management, automotive, logistics, mobility, or related industries, with proven experience in a leadership role.
• Strong experience in fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, registration, insurance, and asset management.
• Proven track record in leading teams and managing large-scale fleet operations.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of operational controls, cost management, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Willing to travel and support operations across different locations
