Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the overall project construction activities across the property development portfolio.
Oversee project delivery from design development, procurement, and construction, ensuring projects meet approved cost, schedule, quality, and safety targets.
Establish and implement construction strategies, standards, policies, and governance.
Lead and oversee construction teams across multiple projects and locations.
Monitor overall project performance, including budget, schedule, quality, HSE, risks, and contractor performance.
Drive cost optimization, value engineering, construction efficiency, and continuous improvement across the project portfolio.
Provide strategic direction and intervention on major construction issues, delays, contractual matters, claims, and project risks.
Work closely with the CEO/Managing Director and other senior functions to ensure alignment between development strategy and project execution.
Lead relationships and negotiations with major contractors, consultants, authorities, and other key stakeholders.
Provide regular portfolio-level updates, forecasts, and recommendations to executive management.
Build, develop, and strengthen the construction organization, leadership capabilities, and succession pipeline.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is an advantage.
20+ years of relevant experience, with significant experience in senior project/construction management roles.
Preferably with a strong background in a property developer or construction company, with a proven understanding of the developer-side project lifecycle.
Proven track record managing large-scale and multiple property development or construction projects.
Strong experience leading senior project teams and managing multiple projects, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
Strong commercial understanding, including budget management, cost control, procurement, contracts, claims, and value engineering.
Strong knowledge of project delivery, construction methodologies, quality management, HSE, and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, critical risks, delays, and project recovery.
Strong strategic thinking, leadership, decision-making, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Professional certification in engineering, construction, or project management is preferred.
Experience in large-scale mixed-use, residential, commercial, hospitality, township, or other major property developments is an advantage.
