DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement short-term and long-term strategies for system management and maintenance.
• Develop and enforce system standards and operational policies.
• Develop and maintain systems to stay stable despite changing requirements.
• Support the engineering team in system development and maintenance.
• Document system design, requirements, and other technical processes.
• Implement and manage system backup and recovery plans.
• Plan and execute system upgrades to ensure seamless expansion without disruptive downtime.
• Collaborate with developers and IT teams during release and deployment processes.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues quickly (on-demand).
• Build and monitor the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
• Evaluate existing processes and systems, then develop improvements.
• Build and manage tools and infrastructure for development environments.
• Prepare technical specification documentation.
• Contribute to project planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

• 25 years of experience as a DevOps, SysOps, or Cloud Engineer.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and automation.
• Experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS).
• Proficient in Cloud Platforms (GCP) or Private Cloud.
• Skilled in scripting (Bash or Python).
• Experienced with version control tools (Git, GitLab/GitHub).
• Understanding of monitoring & observability (Grafana Stack).
• Familiar with containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewall).
• Understanding of high availability, scalability, and performance tuning.
• Strong problem-solving skills and responsive to incidents.
