Job Description

About Neo

AI is the most significant shift in how work gets done since the advent of the Internet — yet most organizations fail to capture its value. Neo is changing that.

Founded by Bhavin Turakhia— Co-Founder of Zeta, Radix, and TitanNeo is building an integrated, AI-first suite of products that capture work, centralize context, and make AI a first-class participant in every workflow:

  • Tasket — A radically reimagined, AI-native, work management platform that centralizes context and makes AI delegation seamless for all work.
  • Friday — AI Assistant, co-worker and agent platform, pre-integrated into Tasket, Studio, Drive and 1000+ SaaS platforms.
  • Studio — AI-native suite for co-creating docs, spreadsheets and diagrams collaboratively with humans and agents.
  • Drive — AI-native repository, where humans and agents can co-work on files.
  • Scribe — AI assistant for meetings that goes beyond note-taking and actually does your work while on the call.

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will build and operate the infrastructure and delivery platform behind the Neo suite — cloud, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and the path to production — working closely with senior engineers who set the architecture and standards.

We are proponents of leveraging best-in-breed AI tools at every step of the engineering lifecycle — design, development, review, and testing. This requires a different engineering mindset: a lean team of hands-on, AI-adept engineers, resulting in ultra-rapid iteration cycles and fast output. You will apply this approach every day, using agents to move faster while owning the quality of what ships.

At Neo, the platform serves both people and a growing fleet of agents shipping change in parallel. This role is for an engineer with strong fundamentals who wants real production ownership and a steep learning curve.

Location: Bengaluru

Responsibilities

Cloud & infrastructure

  • Build, operate, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP/Azure, following the architecture and security standards set by the team.
  • Write and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform; contribute to reusable modules and keep an eye on cost and performance.

Delivery & GitOps

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines as code; improve build speed, reliability, and quality checks on the path to production.
  • Operate GitOps-based deployments with Argo CD / Flux, and run rolling, canary, and blue-green releases.

Containers & Kubernetes

  • Deploy, run, and troubleshoot workloads on production Kubernetes — manifests and Helm charts, ingress (NGINX/Kong), autoscaling, and resource tuning.

AI-first delivery

  • Use agentic tooling day to day to write, review, and test infrastructure code and automation — and validate what agents produce before it ships.
  • Contribute to the guardrails and CI quality gates (linting, policy checks, plan reviews, scanning) that let engineers and agents ship safely.

Reliability & observability

  • Set up and maintain dashboards, alerts, logs, and traces for the services you support.
  • Participate in on-call; triage and resolve incidents, and contribute to root-cause analysis and follow-up fixes.

Security & automation

  • Apply cloud security best practices — least-privilege IAM, secrets management, and image and dependency scanning.
  • Write scripts and small tools in Python, Go, or Bash to automate repetitive operational work; document runbooks and share what you learn.

Skills

  • AI-native engineering practice — Uses agentic tooling across the lifecycle and builds the reusable modules, automation, and CI quality gates that make both human and agent-authored infrastructure change safe to ship.
  • Systems & networking — Solid Linux fundamentals (processes, filesystems, permissions, systemd, logs) and networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/TLS, load balancing, subnets and routing); comfortable debugging from the command line.
  • Cloud — Hands-on with at least one major cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure): compute, VPC networking, IAM, storage, and managed databases.
  • Containers & Kubernetes — Docker and image builds; hands-on with Kubernetes objects (Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps/Secrets, HPA) and Helm or Kustomize.
  • CI/CD & GitOps — Has built or maintained pipelines in tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins; working exposure to Argo CD or Flux.
  • Infrastructure as Code — Terraform (modules, remote state, plan/apply workflows); Ansible a plus.
  • Observability — Working knowledge of metrics, logging, and tracing tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki, OpenTelemetry); can use them to debug a live issue.
  • Security basics — IAM, secrets management (e.g. Vault or cloud secret managers), and secure CI/CD practices.
  • On-call & Incident Response — Experience in an on-call rotation or hands-on incident response.
  • Programming & automation — Writes clean, reviewable Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
  • Software engineers with a bent towards Operations engineering or vice versa.
  • Solid fundamentals in Linux/OS internals, networking, and system performance.
  • Hands-on experience with public or private cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).
  • Good understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  • Proven experience with modern CI/CD practices, GitOps workflows, and deployment strategies.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Programming or scripting proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Has been part of a production on-call rotation and has participated in incident response.
  • Continuous learner with a strong ownership mindset and effective engineering practices.
  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.

Equal Opportunity
