Responsibilities:
- Deliver Design & Technology curriculum for IB Diploma students through inquiry and project-based approaches.
- Teach Visual Arts to middle school students, fostering creativity and visual literacy.
- Guide students through the design process from ideation to prototype or final artwork.
- Differentiate teaching methods and assessment for students with diverse learning needs.
- Manage design lab/studio resources and ensure safety and maintenance.
- Prepare students for IB internal and external assessments (Design Project, Exhibition, etc.).
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate design and art projects across subjects.
- Document student learning progress and communicate effectively with parents.
- Contribute to exhibitions, showcases, and school-wide creative initiatives.
Qualifications:
Educational Background / Professional Certification:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Visual Arts, Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- Teaching certification or IB educator training preferred.
Experience in Related Field:
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience, ideally in Design & Technology or Visual Arts at secondary level.
- Experience or knowledge with IB curriculum or international education (both as a learner and/or a teacher) is an advantage.
Language Standard:
- English proficiency equivalent to TOEFL iBT 90 / IELTS 7 or higher.
