PT CIN CIN SWIM is a garment manufacturing and retail company that operates as a luxury swim and resortwear brand, inspired by sun-drenched European summers and jet-set glamour.
We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Design/Sampling Director to lead design development, range planning, in-depth sample creation, and fit/fabric problem solving in collaboration with our founders and production team.
This is a highly hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical fashion skills, a refined design mindset, and experience working with womenswear brands—particularly in luxury swim or resortwear.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Range Planning
- Lead the seasonal range planning process, ensuring alignment with brand identity and market trends.
- Develop creative concepts that reflect the Cin Cin aesthetic and resonate with our customer (brand training will be provided).
- Create sketches, moodboards, and other visual communication tools to present design ideas.
Sample Development & Technical Execution
- Oversee end-to-end sample development from initial concept to production-ready samples.
- Work closely with our pattern makers to perfect fit, from the first prototype through final fittings with the founders.
- Solve technical challenges related to garment construction, fit issues, fabric suitability, and overall collection development.
- Drive continuous improvement in garment construction techniques and materials suited for swimwear and resortwear.
Collaboration & Quality Control
- Collaborate with founders, pattern makers, and the production team to ensure luxury-quality execution.
- Lead fittings and provide expert direction to refine silhouettes, construction, and finishing details.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external teams to maintain timelines and quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar design, technical design, or sampling role, preferably within womenswear.
- Strong technical fashion skills: garment construction, pattern cutting principles, and material knowledge—particularly Lycra, quick-dry fabrics, and luxury silks/linens for resortwear.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and fashion CAD tools (CLO3D experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of luxury swim and resortwear trends, aesthetics, and customer expectations.
Core Skills Needed
- A refined creative vision aligned with the Cin Cin aesthetic (brand insights will be provided).
- Ability to work closely with pattern makers to achieve perfect fits.
