PT Maxxtec Teknologi Indonesia is a dynamic Southeast Asian company established in 2014 with a mission to introduce innovative European technologies to the region.

We focus on improving the energy efficiency in industrial productions to increase cost efficiency and minimise environmental impact.

Our team consists of highly experienced international specialists and local engineers who design solutions based on the latest German technologies with the highest international quality standards. We design, manufacture, install and maintain heat transfer technology for clients all over the globe.

We seek a detail-oriented, experienced, and organised design engineer to join our growing team. Our design engineers are involved in the initial concept, design, development, and management of projects. About 60% of our projects are outside of Indonesia, therefore constant communication with clients all over the globe in English language is required.

Job Descriptions and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Liaise with clients to identify their requirements and develop individual layout solutions.
  • Create plant layouts from rough sketches and precise measurements.
  • Write technical reports summarising findings and explain technical solutions to colleagues, suppliers, and clients.
  • Cover the concept, specification, tender, and development of new projects or components, including the design of aesthetics, materials, and functionality.
  • Introduce strategies for our CAD environment.
  • Identify new systems and processes to drive quality, efficiency, and cost savings in collaboration with our R&D.
  • Perform complex calculations, including mechanical and pressure loads.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, supervisors, suppliers, and contractors involved in a project, in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Create lists of materials and work specifications, planning effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard, and within budget.
  • Create welding maps by following common standards.
  • Analyze and improve existing projects or components.
  • Pressure Vessel Inspection, Engineering Evaluation, and Certification experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PED, ASME, and their approval processes.
  • Continually learn about new engineering fields, including pressure vessel calculations, analysis packages, and advancements in design and analysis software.
  • Manage time efficiently and communicate status and expectations to management, co-workers, and customers.
  • Utilize knowledge and resources creatively to solve problems.
  • Provide excellent customer service experiences to encourage repeat and continual engineering projects.
  • Design and detail engineering of Pressure vessels, Columns, and Storage tanks.
  • Take over responsibility for reviewing, signing and releasing drawings, mechanical designs, calculations, material specifications, and purchase requisitions for Pressure vessels, Columns, and Storage tanks following Design Codes, Client datasheets, and Specifications.
  • Technical review of vendor quotations in compliance with project requirements.

Candidate Requirements: 

  •   Minimum diploma degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  •   At least 2 years of professional experience in the same field.
  •   Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft365.
  •   Proficient knowledge of 2D and 3D design software.
  •   Strong communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
  •   Strong aptitude for creating detailed blueprints, following instructions, and effective communication.
  •   Ability to manage tasks, prioritise, and report schedules.
  •   Strong attention to detail.
  •   Strong work ethic, adaptability, and innovation.
