Role Description The Demi Chef De Partie at Le Bajo supports the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes that reflect our tropical, locally inspired concept. This contract, on-site role is based in East Flores Regency, working closely with the Chef De Partie and other kitchen staff to prepare, cook, and present menu items according to standards and recipes. Daily responsibilities include assisting with mise en place, ensuring food safety and hygiene, monitoring stock and freshness of ingredients, and maintaining clean, organized workstations. The role also involves collaborating on new dishes, supporting smooth kitchen operations during service, and contributing to a warm, genuine guest experience that aligns with Le Bajo's brand values.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational cooking skills, including basic preparation, hot and cold kitchen techniques, and plating.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen cleanliness practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes, standard operating procedures, and guidance from senior chefs.
  • Experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in casual or upscale dining environments.
  • Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills and a respectful approach to colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing service needs.
  • Interest in local ingredients, tropical flavors, and culturally inspired cuisine.
  • Willingness to work on-site in East Flores Regency, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
  • Relevant culinary training or certification is an advantage, though equivalent hands-on experience is also valued.
