Role Description The Database Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Makassar. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring database health, optimizing queries, managing backups and recovery, and handling user access and permissions. The Database Administrator will troubleshoot database-related issues, support application integration, and implement best practices for data integrity. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to design efficient database structures that meet business needs and comply with organizational standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Database Administration and Databases to manage, secure, and monitor production environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Database Design and Replication to support scalable, reliable, and high-availability architectures.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve performance, connectivity, and data-related issues.
- Experience with common relational and/or NoSQL database platforms (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB) is beneficial.
- Knowledge of backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and database security best practices is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Makassar, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
