Data Engineer

Role Description The Data Engineer role at Vision+ is a full-time, on-site position based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that support analytics, reporting, and product features across the platform. Day-to-day activities include modeling data for efficient storage and retrieval, optimizing data warehouse structures, and ensuring data quality, reliability, and security. This role collaborates closely with data analysts, data scientists, and product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions and to improve performance of existing data systems. The Data Engineer also monitors data workflows, troubleshoots issues, and contributes to continuous improvement of Vision+ data infrastructure and best practices.
Qualifications

• Strong Data Engineering skills, including experience designing and implementing data pipelines and working with large-scale data systems.
• Proficiency in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing to structure, store, and organize data for analytics and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Applied Data Analytics skills to support reporting, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used for data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
• Familiarity with modern data platforms and technologies (e.g., cloud data warehouses, distributed data processing frameworks, and orchestration tools).
• Ability to document data architectures and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
