Data Engineer

Responsibilities

- Manage Data Warehouse: Maintain and optimize our Cloud SQL data warehouse support scalable, high-performance reporting.

- ETL/ELT Development: Assess and implement ETL/ELT processes from various data sources into our data warehouse.

- Data Governance: Apply in-depth knowledge of data governance best practices to maintain data integrity and compliance.

- Data Management: Organize and structure data to improve reporting performance in Spreadsheet and BI Tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).

- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and tools to continuously improve our systems.

Qualifications

- Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with a minimum 1 year experience in Data Engineering or equivalent

- Technical Skills: Familiarity with ETL tools, REST APIs, and data integration techniques, including working with JSON formats.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python

- Understanding of data security and compliance best practices.

- Experience with relational (RDBMS) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.

- Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud computing.

- Proficiency in version control using Git.

- Have a knowledge in statistical analysis.

- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

- Communication and Teamwork: Effective and Proactive communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

- ERP Knowledge: Understanding of ERP systems is a plus.
