Data Engineer (Middle)

Role Description This Data Engineer (Middle) role is a contract, on-site position based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines to support reporting, analytics, and downstream applications. Day-to-day tasks include developing and optimizing ETL processes, implementing data models, and managing data warehousing solutions to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and secure. The Data Engineer will collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs, improve data quality, and enhance system performance. The role also includes monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting issues, and documenting data processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering and building scalable data solutions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing for structured and efficient storage.
• Candidates should possess practical experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools.
• Candidates should possess skills in Data Analytics to support insight generation and data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Java).
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, and familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in a similar data engineering role at intermediate level is highly beneficial.
