Data Center Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Other Related Fields.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in related field.
• Experience with server hardware, storage, sanstorage and network devices and ability to manage operating systems (Linux, Windows Server, etc.).
• Experience implementing disaster recovery, backup restore, archiving tape.
• Experience with monitoring tools (such as Zabbix, Grafana, Infosigt, and APM).
• Understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies (such as VMware and Opershift).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical teams, and English language skills.

Job Description:

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware such as servers, storage, sanswitches, and network devices (HPE, Dell, Cisco, etc.).
• Ensure all hardware and software are functioning properly and troubleshoot if there is a disruption.
• Monitor the performance and health of data center infrastructure (e.g. servers, storage, sanstorage, and network devices).
• Use monitoring tools to track availability, server performance, and network traffic.
• Analyze system performance and plan capacity requirements to support future growth.
• Ensure power, cooling, and network bandwidth are sufficient to handle increasing data loads.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ensure backup systems are functioning properly and are tested regularly to maintain data integrity and availability.
• Manage the life cycle of device assets, including receipt, distribution, maintenance, and disposal.
