Job Description

About the Role

As a CBRE Facility Engineer (HV Electrical), you will be responsible for the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of critical high voltage and low voltage electrical infrastructure within a mission-critical data centre environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring power systems remain fully operational, compliant, and capable of supporting maximum uptime and business continuity.

This job is part of the Critical Facilities Management function and is responsible for maintaining and optimizing electrical infrastructure from utility intake through to rack-level distribution. The role also supports high voltage switching activities, maintenance planning, vendor management, incident response, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

What You'll Do
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical infrastructure including HV/MV switchgear, transformers, LV switchboards, generators, UPS systems, battery systems, ATS/STS equipment, PDUs, and earthing and lightning protection systems.
  • Perform and support planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities to ensure electrical assets remain reliable and fully operational.
  • Act as, or support the appointment of, the HV Authorised Person and carry out HV isolation, switching, and restoration activities in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Coordinate protection relay testing, thermographic inspections, load monitoring, and power quality assessments.
  • Review, prioritize, and close maintenance work orders within the CMMS while ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve system failures.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve asset reliability and reduce recurring incidents.
  • Monitor electrical system performance and capacity utilization to support operational reliability and future growth requirements.
  • Supervise Facilities Technicians and provide technical guidance, coaching, and support for development activities.
  • Coordinate and oversee specialist vendors, contractors, and OEM service providers to ensure work is executed safely and to the required quality standards.
  • Review method statements, switching programmes, risk assessments, and service documentation prior to maintenance activities.
  • Prepare and execute Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).
  • Support change management activities, maintenance windows, black-start testing, and emergency response exercises.
  • Assist with spare parts management, lifecycle planning, capacity planning, and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to monthly operational reports, KPI reviews, incident investigations, and client review meetings.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring timely closure of audit findings.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory electrical requirements, including SLO, PUIL, K3 Listrik, and other applicable regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements, including permit-to-work and LOTO procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance strategies, operational practices, and overall facility performance.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical operations and maintenance with high-voltage exposure.
  • At least 3 years of experience within a mission-critical environment, preferably a data centre.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre power infrastructure including HV/MV systems, transformers, generators, UPS systems, battery systems, ATS/STS equipment, and power distribution systems.
  • Deep understanding of data centre electrical architecture, redundancy concepts such as N+1 and 2N, and protection coordination principles.
  • Experience performing HV switching, isolation, restoration, and electrical safety procedures within critical environments.
  • Experience supervising technicians, contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo, Corrigo, Planon, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience using EPMS, BMS, and monitoring systems to support critical facility operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis capabilities within mission-critical environments.
  • Ability to review technical documentation, method statements, switching programmes, and risk assessments.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to critical operational incidents.
  • Professional proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Valid HV/MV competency or Authorised Person certification and K3 Listrik certification are required.
  • Certifications such as CDCP, CDFOS, Ahli K3 Listrik, or ISO Internal Auditor will be advantageous.
