Open Position: Data Architect

About the Role

As Data Architect, you will contribute to shaping the organization's enterprise data and AI architecture by ensuring architecture standards remain current and aligned with business needs. You will be responsible for designing end-to-end solution architectures to support business demands and target outcomes, developing strategic assessments and roadmaps for data technology modernization and simplification initiatives, and maintaining comprehensive data architecture artifacts within Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools. This position offers the opportunity to drive innovation, strengthen the organization's data capabilities, and support the successful execution of its long-term digital and data transformation strategy.

Responsibilities

1. Update and maintain the enterprise data and AI architecture standards to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
2. Develop end-to-end data architecture and solution designs in response to business demands, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with target-state architecture principles.
3. Conduct assessments of the current data technology landscape and formulate strategic roadmaps to drive modernization, simplification, and optimization of the organization's data platforms.
4. Create, maintain, and govern data architecture artifacts within Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of architecture documentation.
5. Collaborate with business, technology, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategic initiatives into practical data architecture solutions.
6. Provide architectural guidance and recommendations to support decision-making across data and AI initiatives.
7. Monitor the implementation of approved architecture designs and promote adherence to enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
8. Identify opportunities to enhance the organization's data ecosystem by leveraging innovative technologies and industry-leading practices that support the Bank's digital transformation agenda.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data architecture, database design, and data modeling. Experience in the financial services industry, particularly banking, will be considered an advantage.
2. Strong knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), data warehouses, data lakes, Business Intelligence (BI), data modeling, ETL tools, and big data technologies.
3. Proven experience and in-depth understanding of Data Architecture principles and database design methodologies.
4. Solid understanding of data governance, including data quality management, metadata management, and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
5. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.
7. Demonstrated leadership and project management experience will be considered an added advantage.
8. Relevant data-related certifications are preferred, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Cloud Data Architect, or other equivalent certifications.
