Position Overview
As a Cybersecurity Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the cybersecurity domain. This role requires a strategic blend of business acumen, relationship management, and a technical understanding of the evolving threat landscape to position our solutions as essential business enablers.
1. Position Identity
- Job Title: Cybersecurity Account Executive / Sales Specialist
- Department: Sales & Business Development
- Reports To: Sales Manager / Head of Business Development
2. Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Actively hunt for new logos and identify sales opportunities within Enterprise and Commercial segments.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct deep-dive needs assessments with clients and recommend tailored security solutions (e.g., Firewall, EDR/XDR, Cloud Security, SIEM, or Managed Security Services).
- C-Suite Engagement: Build and maintain high-level relationships with strategic stakeholders, including CISOs, CIOs, and CTOs.
- Full Sales Cycle Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process—from prospecting and qualification to presentation, negotiation, and closing—using CRM tools (Salesforce/HubSpot).
- Technical Collaboration: Partner with Pre-Sales Engineers to ensure technical proposals align with the client's business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, cyber threat intelligence, and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR or local data protection laws).
3. Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in B2B Technology sales, with a proven track record specifically in Cybersecurity.
- Technical Knowledge: * Foundational understanding of Network Security, Endpoint Protection, IAM, and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC2).
- Soft Skills: * Exceptional negotiation and boardroom-level presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication to build long-term client trust.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a hunter mentality.
- Language: Professional proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
4. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Certifications from major cybersecurity vendors (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, or CrowdStrike).
- An existing network of contacts in Financial Services (FSI), Government (Public Sector), or Critical Infrastructure.
- Experience managing complex Request for Proposals (RFPs) and government tenders.
5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Revenue Achievement: Meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas.
- Pipeline Velocity: Maintaining a healthy volume of new qualified leads in the sales funnel.
- Conversion Rate: Percentage of successful transitions from proposal stage to Closed-Won.
- Customer Expansion: Success in upselling/cross-selling additional services to existing accounts.
