Cyber Security Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Implement, configure, and maintain security tools including EDR, SIEM, IPS, DLP, firewall solutions, VPNs, and endpoint protection.

2. Build, maintain, and troubleshoot log ingest pipelines (e.g., Logstash) for the Elastic SIEM infrastructure.

3. Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure security policies and procedures are followed.

4. Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, attack vectors, and security technologies.

5. Develop and maintain documentation related to security configurations, procedures, and incident reports.

6. Support security audits and compliance efforts (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).

7. Provide technical guidance and support for security-related projects and initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:

1. Education: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

2. Experience: 3–5 years in cybersecurity or information security roles.

3. Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall technologies, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint security.

4. Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), EDR solutions

5. Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevSecOps principles is a plus.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+.
