Key Responsibilities:
· Manage import customs clearance operations for all cargo at major Indonesian ports; audit customs documents including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
· Resolve issues such as customs inspections, cargo detention, tariff disputes, and document discrepancies to ensure smooth cargo release
· Maintain relationships with Indonesian Customs, Ministry of Forestry, Ministry of Industry and Trade, terminals, and local freight forwarders
· Update HQ on customs policies, tariff adjustments, and regulatory changes
· Optimize clearance procedures, control costs, reduce demurrage and detention fees, and lower inspection rates
· Compile daily, weekly, and monthly import clearance reports covering cargo details, clearance efficiency, tariff and fee statistics, and case reviews
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual import business analysis reports with risk summaries and process optimization recommendations
· Establish electronic and physical document archives for customs inspection and internal audit requirements
· Manage textile import quota applications including document preparation, submission, progress follow-up, and approval collection; maintain quota usage ledger
· Manage steel import quota applications for hot rolled steel, cold rolled steel, steel profiles, and steel pipes
· Apply for wood product import qualifications including import permits, fumigation certificate verification, forestry department access filing, and wood traceability certification
· Manage annual reviews, renewals, and amendments for wood import qualifications
· Train, supervise, and evaluate local customs clearance team (2-3 specialists)
· Coordinate with international purchasing, logistics, and business teams on cargo status, clearance progress, and application status
Qualifications:
· Associate degree or above in International Trade, Logistics Management, or related field
· 3+ years of import customs clearance experience in Indonesia
· 1+ years of team management experience
· Must have hands-on experience with textile quota, steel quota, and wood product import qualification applications
· Able to communicate in Chinese and English
· Strong emergency response and problem-solving skills
· High pressure resistance and sense of responsibility
· No customs clearance violation records or industry blacklist history
