Role Description:

The Curriculum Developer is responsible for designing, reviewing, and updating preschool curricula that align with Apple Tree's educational philosophy and learning outcomes. This full-time, on-site role is based in our Head Office and involves collaborating closely with teachers, academic coordinators, and school leadership to ensure that lesson plans, learning materials, and classroom activities are age-appropriate, engaging, and culturally relevant. Day-to-day tasks include conducting research on best practices in early childhood education, creating instructional resources, mapping learning objectives, and integrating play-based and thematic approaches into the curriculum. The role also includes providing guidance and training to teaching staff on effective implementation, monitoring curriculum effectiveness through classroom observations and feedback, and making data-informed improvements as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in curriculum development or educational programme design, preferably in early childhood setting
Strong knowledge of early childhood development theories and contemporary pedagogical approaches
Proficiency in English and Indonesian
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents and school leadership
Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail
Creative thinking with the ability to design innovative and engaging learning experiences
Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning resources
Understanding of international curricula standards and localisation of educational content is preferred
