About the Role:
To develop, maintain and continuously enhance the Bank's Credit Risk policies, standards, methodologies and governance framework. The role is responsible for ensuring that all lending activities are supported by robust credit policies aligned with the Bank's Risk Appetite Framework, regulatory requirements and prudent risk management practices while providing independent second-line oversight over policy implementation.
- Develop, maintain and periodically review the Bank's Credit Policy, Credit Risk Standards and supporting procedures.
- Ensure Credit Policies remain aligned with the Bank's Risk Appetite Framework, strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Review and challenge proposed changes to underwriting criteria, credit programmes, scorecards, lending parameters and delegated authorities from a risk governance perspective.
- Ensure consistency of Credit Risk governance across all lending products and customer segments.
- Coordinate the periodic review of Credit Risk policies, product programmes and approval authorities.
- Conduct gap analyses against new regulatory requirements and industry best practices, recommending policy enhancements where appropriate.
- Develop, maintain and periodically update the Bank's Credit Risk governance documents, including Credit Policies, Credit Risk Standards, underwriting methodologies, approval authorities, operational guidelines and other supporting documents, ensuring they remain current, consistent and aligned with regulatory requirements and the Bank's Risk Appetite Framework.
- Provide independent advice to Business, Product, Operations and other stakeholders on interpretation and application of Credit Policies.
- Support the development of Credit Risk Appetite metrics, concentration limits and policy governance frameworks.
- Monitor policy exceptions, waivers and deviations, identifying recurring themes and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare policy papers, updates and governance materials for Risk Committees.
- Support regulatory examinations and Internal Audit reviews relating to Credit Risk governance and Credit Policies.
- Promote continuous improvement of Credit Risk governance, documentation standards and policy management processes.
About You:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant disciplines.
- Strong understanding of Credit Risk Management and banking regulations.
- Strong knowledge of Credit Policy development and governance.
- Understanding of underwriting methodologies, scorecards and portfolio management.
- Good understanding of Risk Appetite Framework and risk governance.
- Excellent writing and documentation skills in both Bahasa Indonesia & English.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical Credit Policies.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Professional certification such as CRM, FRM or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Credit Risk, Credit Policy, Risk Governance or related functions.
- Experience drafting and maintaining Credit Policies within banks.
- Experience supporting regulatory examinations and Internal Audit.
- Experience working with Business, Credit Operations, Compliance and Risk teams.
- In-depth experience in a digital banking credit environment will be an advantage.
