Job Description

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a multinational industrial company. As part of its continued expansion in Indonesia, our client is seeking an experienced commercial leader for the position of Country Manager. The job is based in Batam, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee the company's overall operations in Indonesia, including commercial, customer service, operational, and support functions
  • Take full ownership of the country's P&L performance, ensuring achievement of financial and business objectives
  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and market expansion
  • Identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing customers and key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships to support business development initiatives
  • Drive operational excellence by optimizing processes, workflows, and organizational effectiveness
  • Monitor financial performance, KPIs, and operational metrics, implementing improvement initiatives where required
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team through coaching, performance management, and employee development programs
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture across the organization
  • Work closely with regional leadership to ensure alignment with corporate strategies, policies, and business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, corporate governance standards, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Represent the company in Indonesia and strengthen its market presence and reputation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; Master's Degree is an advantage
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial leadership, sales management, business development, or general management roles
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, revenue generation, and market development
  • Experience managing customer relationships, strategic partnerships, and key commercial activities
  • Demonstrated experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams
  • Excellent commercial acumen, business judgment, and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Experience working within multinational organizations is preferred
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken; Mandarin proficiency will be an advantage
