Job Overview
We are looking for a Costing Engineer to support quotation and pricing activities in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing cost breakdowns, benchmarking against market prices, and ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining healthy profit margins to win new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze detailed costing sheets during RFQ process.
- Identify cost elements that are not competitive compared to market benchmarks or previous projects.
- Understand and validate costing assumptions.
- Lead cost review discussions to optimize pricing.
- Propose adjustments in materials, margin, MOQ, investment, or other cost drivers to meet customer target prices.
- Compare RFQ costing vs actual production costing when required.
- Benchmark costs across sites and competitors.
- Prepare clear reports and highlight costing risks to management.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 35 years experience in costing, pricing, or RFQ within manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of cable, PVC, terminals, connectors or similar products is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas and cost analysis).
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
