Role Description The Cost Controller role is a full-time, on-site position based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project and operational costs to ensure budget adherence and cost efficiency across the company's retail and service activities. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing cost reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, tracking variances between actual and planned costs, and providing recommendations for cost optimization. The Cost Controller will collaborate closely with finance, procurement, operations, and project teams to validate cost data, maintain accurate records, and support management decision-making. The role also involves contributing to the development of cost control procedures, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and supporting continuous improvement in financial and operational performance.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Cost Control and Cost Management.
  • Solid understanding of Cost Accounting principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, cost trends, and variances.
  • Background in Finance, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and financial software tools (e.g., Excel, accounting systems).
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in data handling, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate cost insights clearly.
  • Experience in retail, construction, or building materials industries is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Yogyakarta and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
