About the Role
We are looking for a Cost Control Associate Manager to support our procurement and cost control activities, ensuring efficient inventory management, strong supplier performance, and consistent product quality. This role will work closely with suppliers, chefs, kitchen teams, and other internal departments to ensure procurement needs are well coordinated while maintaining cost efficiency and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring consistent service, product quality, and delivery performance.
- Regularly evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement or corrective action.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory, waste, and potential losses.
- Implement and improve inventory management processes and systems to support accurate stock control and efficient operations.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality, consistency, and specifications of delivered products meet company standards.
- Track product quality issues, supplier discrepancies, and delivery concerns, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with chefs, kitchen staff, operations, and other departments to understand and align procurement requirements.
- Coordinate procurement activities to ensure materials and products are available according to operational needs and timelines.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding pricing, product availability, quality, delivery, and other operational concerns.
- Resolve supplier-related issues promptly and escalate critical concerns when necessary.
- Monitor procurement and inventory-related costs and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate procurement, supplier performance, inventory, and cost control records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement, inventory management, supplier performance, and cost optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in cost control, procurement, purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain, preferably within F&B, hospitality, retail, or other fast-paced operational environments.
- Experience in managing and evaluating supplier performance.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control, and cost optimization principles.
- Experience working with suppliers and handling product quality, delivery, and commercial issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
- Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with chefs, kitchen teams, operations, finance, and other departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with inventory, procurement, or ERP systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach to resolving operational and supplier-related issues.
