Open Position: Corporate Legal Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Legal Specialist to provide comprehensive legal support across corporate governance, regulatory compliance, corporate actions, and legal advisory. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the organization operates in accordance with applicable laws and regulations while supporting strategic business initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice, legal analysis, and regulatory support related to corporate policies, corporate actions, and financial conglomerate governance.
- Monitor and evaluate corporate governance and compliance matters, including the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, regulators, and affiliated entities regarding financial conglomerate governance matters.
- Prepare and submit legal documents, reports, and regulatory disclosures accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions on corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues.
- Support contract drafting, negotiation, and review to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
- Assist in corporate licensing, compliance management, and litigation support when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (Master's Degree is an advantage).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Corporate Legal, preferably with a reputable law firm or legal consultancy.
- Solid knowledge of Corporate Law, Capital Market Law, Contract Law, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and Banking & Financial Services regulations.
- Proven experience in legal drafting, legal research, regulatory analysis, corporate governance, compliance, risk management, litigation support, and corporate licensing.
- Strong analytical thinking, legal reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively across functions.
