Handle various corporate legal matters and respond to daily legal inquiries across the business unit.
Support Senior Counsel with legal opinions and legal research.
Coordinate with external lawyers, notaries, IPR consultants, ATRBPN, BKPM, and other relevant authorities.
Monitor regulatory and industry developments and provide updates to Senior Counsel.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, business agreements (bancassurance, brokerage, group insurance), company deeds, and regulatory documents.
Prepare Board of Commissioners (BoC) and Board of Directors (BoD) meetings, including circular resolutions and minutes, ensuring compliance with OJK regulations.
Assist with periodic reports to OJK (GCG Report, Independent Commissioner Report, Public Accountant Evaluation Report, etc.).
Manage OJK fit-and-proper test (FPT) registrations for key positions (BoD, BoC, internal auditor, actuary).
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including filings and disclosures.
Identify and manage corporate governance and compliance risks.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university; Master's degree is a plus.
25 years of experience as an in-house legal counsel in financial institutions or as a corporate lawyer; experience in life insurance is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of insurance law and corporate/commercial law.
Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
PERADI license is an advantage.
Required skill(s): Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong understanding of legal procedures, strategies, and Sharia compliance for life insurance companies.
