SALARY: USD 6,000 – 8,000 (all-inclusive)
OVERVIEW:
Our client, a leading rubber manufacturing group, is setting up a new business unit focused on Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) production, targeting the sale of NBR cubes/compound. They are seeking a COO to lead and oversee operations, strategy, and growth of this new unit, with strong technical grounding in rubber manufacturing (NBR and NR) combined with operational and commercial leadership. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up or scaling rubber manufacturing operations and driving them toward commercial viability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the setup and scale-up of a new NBR manufacturing unit from the ground up.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, technical processes, and quality control for NBR (and related NR) production.
- Revenue Growth: Drive commercial strategy for NBR cube sales, including market development and customer acquisition.
- Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead operations and technical teams across the new facility.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, control production costs, and ensure sustainable, scalable growth.
- Supply Chain & Sourcing: Oversee raw material sourcing and supplier relationships specific to NBR/rubber inputs.
- Stakeholder Relations: Represent the company with clients, partners, and group leadership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience at Senior Manager level or above (Operations Manager, AGM, GM Operations, GM Technical, or Senior Manager – Technical).
- Strong technical and operational expertise in NBR rubber manufacturing; candidates from the rubber/glove manufacturing sector are also considered.
- Middle East NBR industry exposure is a plus — to be specifically checked for during screening.
