OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager overseeing all contractual and commercial matters across the Data Center programme in Indonesia. This role manages the full lifecycle of contracts — from tender strategy through award, administration, claims management, and final account settlement — ensuring the project's commercial interests are protected and that all parties fulfil their contractual obligations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop the contract strategy and procurement plan for all packages across the programme.
- Prepare, issue, and evaluate tender documentation for civil, MEP, ELV, and specialist packages.
- Lead contract negotiations with contractors and subcontractors, ensuring favourable commercial terms.
- Administer all contracts post-award, including correspondence, instruction issuance, and compliance monitoring.
- Manage variation orders, change requests, and contractor claims in accordance with contract terms.
- Oversee interim payment certificates, provisional sum expenditure, and final account preparation.
- Maintain the contract register and commercial risk log, reporting to the Programme Director.
- Provide commercial guidance to the wider PMC team on contractual entitlements and obligations.
- Support dispute resolution processes and interface with legal counsel when required.
- Ensure all contracting activities comply with Indonesian law and client governance requirements.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10 years in contracts or commercial management within construction or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or lump-sum EPC contract forms.
- Proven experience in claims analysis, variation management, and final account settlement.
- Familiarity with Indonesian construction law, labour regulations, and commercial practices.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Membership of RICS, AIQS, or equivalent professional body preferred.
- Proficient in contract management software and cost control tools.
- Experience on large-scale infrastructure or mission-critical facility contracts preferred.
