As a Junior Consultant, you will support technical safety and risk projects by performing robust analysis, modelling, and calculations under the guidance of senior team members. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in technical safety and risk projects involving risk analysis, modelling, and calculations.
- Perform technically sound analysis based on defensible data and reasoned arguments.
- Support development of Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) models using Excel spreadsheets.
- Assist in fire and explosion modelling, gas and smoke dispersion modelling using CFD or empirical tools.
- Conduct risk calculations (e.g., probability of events occurring) and non-flammable hazard analysis.
- Contribute to Escape, Temporary Refuge, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (ETRERA) for offshore facilities.
- Participate in safety workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, ALARP) as a scribe and assist in client reporting.
- Prepare sections of safety cases and high-quality reports with clear diagrams and explained calculations.
- Support proposal preparation and attend client meetings as required
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety protocols in all project activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in chemical or environmental engineering; Master's degree and/or professional registration is a plus.
- 13 years in safety and risk analysis projects.
- Possess strong written, verbal communication and data presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to travel for project needs.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
