XPND Indonesia is entering an accelerated growth phase to capture the increasing wave of Chinese FDI into Indonesia. The Consultant – China Business Advisor will support client engagement and business development activities related to Chinese investors exploring opportunities in Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Ownership: Own the full sales cycle including origination, pitching, negotiation, and closing to deliver aggressive annual revenue growth targets.
- Market Research: Conduct research on Chinese investment trends and key sectors such as manufacturing, EV & battery, infrastructure, and digital economy.
- Cross-Border Advisory Support: Assist structuring strategies for PMA establishment, licensing, tax-efficient investment structures, and land acquisition advisory.
- Ecosystem Building: Build strategic partnerships with Chinese business associations, industrial park operators, and financial institutions.
- Client Communication: Assist in communication with Chinese clients and support meetings, discussions, and correspondence in Mandarin.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, International Business, or related fields. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Experience: Experience in consulting, corporate services, or business development. Internship experiences are welcome to apply.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the Indonesian investment framework, PMA structures, OSS, and licensing systems is a plus.
- Commercial Mindset: Hunter mentality with a proactive deal-originator approach, comfortable operating with revenue targets and performance KPIs.
- Language Fluency: Mandatory fluent Mandarin and business-level English.
- Cultural Competence: Strong understanding of Chinese business culture and decision-making hierarchies.
