Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role involves coordinating construction teams, managing budgets, and maintaining compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
Team and Stakeholder Management
- Lead and coordinate construction teams, contractors, and suppliers.
- Facilitate collaboration with the Property Development team and other departments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Budget and Cost Control
- Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial accountability.
- Review and approve contractor invoices and provide accurate financial reporting.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and comply with regulations.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues.
- Enforce best practices for safety and environmental compliance.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and present progress reports, including updates on timelines, budgets, and milestones.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and technical specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in property development or construction
- PMP certification or equivalent professional qualification is preferred
- Proven track record of successful project delivery
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and industry standards
