OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee all physical construction activities on-site for the Data Center programme in Indonesia. This role ensures that civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and ELV works are executed in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, Indonesian regulations, and HSE requirements. The Construction Manager works closely with contractors, the Technical Team, and HSE Manager to drive safe, quality construction delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all on-site construction activities across DC1, DC2, and HV Substation packages.
- Supervise contractor performance, resource deployment, and daily site productivity.
- Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and work programmes.
- Coordinate sequencing of civil, MEP, ELV, and fit-out works to avoid clashes and delays.
- Conduct regular site walks and inspections to monitor workmanship and compliance.
- Interface with the Planning Manager to track progress against the master construction schedule.
- Facilitate resolution of on-site technical issues, RFIs, and contractor queries.
- Enforce HSE policies and ensure all personnel comply with site safety requirements.
- Coordinate local authority site inspections and ensure compliance with Indonesian building codes.
- Report construction progress, risks, and issues to the Project Management Lead.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 15 years of construction management experience, including at least 3 years on mission-critical or industrial projects.
- Solid knowledge of civil/structural construction, MEP coordination, and fit-out works.
- Familiarity with Indonesian construction standards (SNI), local permitting, and authority requirements.
- Experience managing large contractor workforces on complex multi-building projects.
- Strong HSE awareness; NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification preferred.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proficient in construction drawing interpretation and site quality management.
- Effective communicator in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Proven ability to manage site conflicts and drive problem resolution on the ground.
