About the role:
As Compliance Specialist – Product, you will ensure Honest's products and services comply with all applicable regulatory requirements and standards. This is a role with heavy focus on OJK and Bank Indonesia (BI) product and partnership requirements, IT and cybersecurity compliance, and incidental reporting. You will report to the Head of Regulatory Compliance, working closely with Product, Legal, and business teams to review new products and initiatives before launch, monitor ongoing compliance, and embed compliance into the product development lifecycle. You will help make sure every product, feature, and customer-facing disclosure meets regulatory standards - without slowing down the pace of building.
How you will make an impact:
- Review products and initiatives for regulatory compliance
- Review all new products, features, and business initiatives for regulatory compliance before launch
- Assess product T&Cs, marketing materials, and customer disclosures for compliance
- Monitor ongoing product compliance post-launch and flag emerging risks
- Embed compliance across the product lifecycle
- Liaise with Product teams to embed compliance in the product development lifecycle, launch, and evaluation
- Maintain the product compliance review register and tracking log
- Train product and business teams on relevant regulatory requirements
- Support regulatory reporting
- Support the Head of Regulatory Compliance with product-specific regulatory reporting, including incidental reports
What you need to have:
- 2-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, legal, or risk within financial services (bank, fintech, multifinance, or credit card)
- Working knowledge of OJK and Bank Indonesia regulations, particularly product, partnership, and consumer protection requirements
- Familiarity with IT and cybersecurity compliance frameworks and regulations relevant to financial services
- Experience reviewing products, T&Cs, marketing materials, and customer disclosures for regulatory compliance
- Experience preparing or supporting regulatory reporting, including incidental/incident reports
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; able to translate regulations into practical, actionable product requirements
- Strong stakeholder management; able to work cross-functionally with Product, Legal, and business teams
- Strong organizational and timeline management skills; able to manage multiple product reviews simultaneously
- Excellent English communication skills
What makes you stand out:
- Experience in a licensed financial institution regulated by OJK/BI (banking, fintech, or credit card)
- Professional certification in compliance, risk, or audit
- Experience with IT/cybersecurity compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, POJK on IT risk / electronic systems for financial services)
- Experience embedding compliance into a fast-moving product development lifecycle
- Familiarity with consumer protection and credit card / lending requirements in Indonesia
- Strong instincts for balancing regulatory rigor with business and product speed
