About this post

We are seeking a junior-level Compliance Specialist to support the continuity and effectiveness of our Legal & Compliance function. This is an individual contributor role aimed at assisting the team in ensuring that the company's operational and digital asset trading activities strictly align with applicable Indonesian laws, regulatory frameworks, and internal policies.

The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day compliance operations, monitor regulatory updates, handle cross-divisional coordination, and maintain regulator-ready documentation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Monitoring & Analysis
  • Actively monitor updates and new regulations from relevant regulatory bodies, including OJK, Bappebti, Central Crypto Exchange (CFX), Clearing Houses, and Custodians.
  • Analyze new regulatory requirements and evaluate their operational impact on the company's business.
  • Prepare structured regulatory summaries detailing key changes, company obligations, compliance risks, and business implications for the Head of Legal & Compliance.
  • Regulatory Implementation & Training
  • Assist in translating regulatory requirements into practical internal policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and operational control systems.
  • Prepare internal communication materials regarding regulatory updates and conduct compliance training/awareness campaigns across business divisions.
  • Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of internal regulatory implementation.
  • Regulatory Reporting & Communication
  • Identify and map out all periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) and incidental reporting obligations to regulators.
  • Establish and maintain a regulatory reporting calendar with strict internal timelines.
  • Collect, review, and validate data across divisions to ensure accurate and timely submission of regulatory reports.
  • Act as a reliable operational liaison point for communication and data requests between the company and regulators.
  • Internal Coordination & Document Governance
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Risk Management, Finance, Operations, Product, and IT) to gather data and resolve potential compliance bottlenecks.
  • Maintain, organize, and archive all compliance records, licenses, and regulatory submissions to ensure they are audit-ready at all times.
  • Escalate potential compliance risks or operational violations with clear mitigation recommendations to management.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
  • Experience:2–5 years of professional experience in compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, risk management, or internal audit.
  • Industry Background: Direct experience within Fintech, Digital Assets/Crypto Exchanges, Banking, or Regulated Financial Services is highly preferred.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
  • Solid understanding of regulatory compliance framework, AML/CFT practices, and operational controls.
  • Proven ability to analyze regulatory text and translate it into actionable operational workflows.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of managing rigorous documentation.
  • Language: Professional fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and verbal).
