Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Carry out compliance functions through a series of preventive actions or measures to ensure that all activities within the assigned business units comply with applicable regulations issued by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for Conventional Commercial Banks and Sharia Business Units, Bank Indonesia (BI), as well as relevant laws and regulations, including Sharia principles for Sharia Business Units.
  • Ensure the implementation of initiatives that support the development of a strong Compliance Culture within the assigned areas.
  • Ensure the Bank's compliance with commitments made to BI, OJK, and/or other relevant supervisory authorities by supporting follow-up actions on audit findings and responding to ad-hoc requests from OJK/BI.

Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance risks by conducting preventive reviews of policies or SOP drafts within the assigned units to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and prudential principles.
  • Provide consultative support and act as a subject-matter expert for related units in understanding and implementing regulatory requirements, including assisting in resolving regulatory or prudential issues.
  • Ensure the Bank's compliance with commitments made to OJK/Bank Indonesia or other authorities by assisting with follow-up actions on audit findings and managing ad-hoc regulatory requests.
  • Foster compliance culture within related units by conducting training or socialization sessions on OJK/BI regulations and other relevant laws.
  • Prepare compliance-related activity reports for the assigned units as input for the Compliance Division/Compliance Director.
  • Maintain and update internal and external regulatory references to ensure all assigned units have complete and accurate regulatory guidance.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Compliance function or Bank Danamon within the assigned units/areas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) from reputable university
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in banking, or at least 5 years in compliance/regulatory roles.
  • Strong understanding of internal and external banking regulations.
  • Knowledge of digital product licensing processes with OJK/BI.
  • Experience reviewing documentation for OJK/BI licensing submissions.
  • Ability to identify the most efficient strategies to obtain OJK/BI approval for digital products.
  • Risk Management Certification: Minimum Level 2 or Professional Risk Management Certification.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
