Compliance & Litigation

• Compliance & Risk Management:
• Assist businesses with comprehensive compliance and risk management matters.
• Conduct legal audits and due diligence to identify and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure adherence to all regulatory and internal compliance frameworks.
• Legal Communications & Advisory:
• Draft legal notices, representations, and replies against notices issued by statutory authorities.
• Issue timely and practical legal advice and assistance to various business units.
• Litigation Management:
• Coordinate effectively with external Advocates and Counsels in connection with all company litigation, including but not limited to consumer litigation.
• Oversee the preparation and review of all pleadings and documentation related to such litigations.
• Strategic Business Advisory:
• Anticipate legal support needs of the business and help define and drive the strategic legal plans for new business initiatives.
• Provide proactive business advisory on new ventures, regulatory landscape, and legal feasibility of business models.
• Ensure compliance of advertisement creatives and marketing campaigns from a legal and ethical standpoint.
• Advise on data protection, privacy laws, and technicalities related to T&C, ensuring robust data governance.
• Technical Compliance & Business Interrogation:
• Provide expert guidance on compliance from both a business and technical standpoint, specifically on T&Cs, data protection, and digital marketing compliance.
• Engage in critical business questioning to understand legal implications of new strategies and advise on permissible business activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• LLB degree from a reputable university; LLM is a plus
• Post-qualification experience in the corporate.
• Proven expertise in the IT Act, data protection regulation laws.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear, concise, and business-focused legal advice.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and risk identification.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal projects independently and collaboratively.
• Mature mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach and a high degree of integrity.
