Position Overview

As an Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible to design, implement, and manage effective compensation and benefits strategies that attract, retai

n,and motivate employees, while ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and full compliance with labor and tax regulation

Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits Strategy

  • Develop, implement, and regularly review compensation and benefits policies and programs, including base salary, incentives, bonuses, allowances, and BPJS.
  • Design and maintain a fair, competitive, and market aligned salary structure through job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and market analysis.
  • Develop and enhance total rewards programs that support business objectives and talent retention.

Payroll Management

  • Oversee end to end payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate salary payments, including statutory deductions (tax, BPJS, leave, and attendance).
  • Coordinate closely with Finance and external vendors (e.g., payroll providers and tax consultants) to ensure seamless payroll processes and compliance.

Employee Benefits Management

  • Manage and continuously improve employee benefits programs, including health insurance, transportation allowances, leave administration, and employee well-being initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of benefits programs and recommend enhancements to remain competitive in the market.

Compensation Analytics & Reporting

  • Conduct salary benchmarking and compensation surveys to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare regular reports and insights on compensation costs, salary structures, market competitiveness, and workforce projections for management.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all compensation and benefits practices comply with Indonesian labor regulations, tax laws, and BPJS requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits related to payroll, compensation, and employee benefits.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Compensation & Benefits team.
  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to align compensation strategies with organizational goals.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on rewards programs, organizational grading, and compensation frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Compensation & Benefits, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in Compensation & Benefits strategy, total rewards, salary structure design, job evaluation, job grading, salary benchmarking, and organizational grading.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing compensation strategies that support business objectives and organizational growth.
  • Solid understanding of payroll operations, Indonesian labor law, taxation, BPJS, and HR compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Experience with compensation methodologies (e.g., Mercer, Korn Ferry Hay, or equivalent) will be an advantage.
  • Placement: Surabaya, East Java.
