About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical) to join our mission-critical infrastructure team in Jakarta. The successful candidate will lead and manage mechanical commissioning activities throughout the full lifecycle of data center projects, from design review through integrated systems testing and final handover.
This role requires strong expertise in data center cooling systems, mechanical infrastructure, commissioning methodologies, testing procedures, and operational readiness requirements. The candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure all mechanical systems are commissioned safely and perform according to design and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Review project documentation including design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, sequence of operations (SOO), and commissioning procedures.
- Conduct commissionability reviews from design stage through project handover.
- Develop detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and testing strategies for ELV systems.
- Prepare and review Level 2 to Level 5 commissioning scripts and test sheets.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders throughout project execution.
- Lead commissioning and witnessing activities for all mission-critical ELV systems.
- Verify communication interfaces, network connectivity, control integrations, and interoperability between systems.
- Conduct functional testing, integrated systems testing (IST), failure scenario testing, and restoration verification.
- Perform point-to-point verification and validate control logic, alarms, monitoring points, and system sequences.
- Coordinate testing activities across ELV, Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Management Systems (BMS) disciplines.
- Support TCCF activities, authority inspections, client demonstrations, and final acceptance testing.
- Oversee commissioning documentation, issue management, test reports, as-built records, turnover packages, and project handover to operations teams.
Required Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in ELV engineering, construction, commissioning, or project delivery.
- Minimum 6 years of direct experience commissioning data center facilities.
- Strong understanding of mission-critical ELV infrastructure within data center environments.
Experience with:

- Fire Alarm & Detection Systems
- Structured Cabling Systems

- Proven experience commissioning, troubleshooting, and validating integrated ELV systems.

- Experience in large-scale hyperscale or colocation data centers.
- Experience working with international EPCs, consultants, commissioning agents, and integrated systems vendors.
- Experience leading commissioning teams and multidisciplinary contractors.
